Which is best: ż or Clixli?

If you’re looking for the best platform to launch your knowledge business, you’ve likely asked this very question. And since both ż and Clixli include built-in and the ability to create web pages, a , and courses and memberships, it can be difficult to know which is best.

It doesn’t help that there are only a handful of Clixli reviews and a surprisingly sparse amount of information about this company and what it has to offer. So to help you make a more informed decision, we’re taking a deep dive into what Clixli has to offer and how it stacks up to ż for starting and scaling a successful knowledge business.

Keep reading to see our ż vs. Clixli comparison, including pricing, features, templates, business history, Clixli reviews and more.

What is Clixli?

Clixli promotes itself as an all-in-one platform — a drag-and-drop website, funnel, store, course, and membership builder.

Clixli was by Imran Maqbool. But how many people use Clixli? How successful have they been at building a business on Clixli? Their website reports that they have over 12,000 customers. The official Clixli Facebook page boasts 1,719 likes and 1,987 follows, despite there being no activity on the page.

What is ż?

ż is the industry’s leading platform for growing your knowledge business. Since 2010, they’ve empowered over 60,000 knowledge creators and entrepreneurs in 120 countries to serve 60 million students and make more than $5 billion in sales.

As ż co-founder and CEO Kenny Rueter explains, “ż helps serious business owners get unstuck and just keep going.”

It does this by offering a one-stop shop for a course and membership builder, website hosting, email marketing software, funnel software, blog and podcast hosting, newsletters, shopping cart, pipelines, and more. All to empower knowledge entrepreneurs who are serious about their business to achieve success online.

ż has a thriving community. Just on the Facebook page, as of September 2021, ż has 42,145 likes and 56,103 follows.

At first glance, these two platforms seem similar. However, if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that there are considerable differences between the two. Let’s take a look.

How much do Clixli and ż cost?

Clixli offers four packages for its members:

  • Personal ($37/month)
  • Business ($77/month)
  • Growth ($127/month)
  • Pro ($397/month)

The prices are low, as all-in-one platforms go. But “all-in-one” may not be the most accurate description here.

Not all the features that you need to build your business are offered in these member packages. Some, like medium to large email lists, are an add-on, which you’ll pay extra for.

And to unlock more of the features you’ll need, you’re obligated to buy into the top tier. For example, the lowest tier lets you create just 10 web pages, sell five store products, have up to 25 members, and sell a single course or membership.

At the Personal and Business levels, you’ll struggle to build a real business. The Personal level only gives you 2GB of storage, and Business limits you to just 50GB. And if you want to set up a membership site, you need to be able to set up subscription payments — which only becomes available in the Growth plan ($127 a month).

Now let’s compare that to ż:

  • Basic ($149/month)
  • Growth ($199/month)
  • Pro ($399/month)

ż, unlike the other platforms we’ve reviewed, gives you every business-building feature you need at every price tier.

For instance, at the Basic level, you’re able to build one website with as many pages as you need, and create three products, three pipelines, and unlimited landing pages.

You’re able to send unlimited marketing emails. And you can have 10,000 contacts, with 1,000 active members.

Both companies offer 0% transaction fees, which means that they don’t take a portion of your sales. That lowers your overhead costs and raises your profits.

Website and course builder

The first thing an all-in-one product needs to do is give you a professional website. But how intuitive is the platform? Does it make it easy to build a website that has your brand’s unique look and feel?

Both ż and Clixli offer the drag-and-drop simplicity of a built-in website creator. With mobile responsive designs baked right in, they make it easy to optimize your site for both your end users and search engines.

And both website builders allow you to change images, colors, and fonts, so you can showcase your brand.

ż has dozens of website templates to choose from. And there’s a thriving marketplace where you can find additional templates made by żans for żans. The sheer volume of templates makes it easy to create a website that expresses your unique personality and style.

Clixli has website templates for a variety of business types. As of this writing, though, it doesn’t have an official community or a marketplace for finding additional templates.

As for digital products, Clixli allows you to build courses and memberships. ż gives you added functionality to build coaching programs, mini-courses, drip courses, and a community.

At the time of this writing, Clixli only has two course templates. ż has six, as well as a blank blueprint that gives you complete freedom to build your digital product your way.

Funnels and ż templates

Both ż and Clixli offer a sales funnel creator. Both use a drag-and-drop interface to build out your funnels. And both offer templates to give you a good head-start.

Clixli offers funnel templates for six types of funnels:

  • Sales and product promotion
  • Lead generation
  • Webinars
  • Lead magnets
  • Opt-ins
  • Coupons

Similarly, ż offers seven types of Pipeline (or funnel) templates:

  • Freebie
  • Sales Page
  • Product Launch
  • Zoom Webinar
  • Free Book
  • Coaching Campaign
  • Simple Sales Page

A lot of ż Heroes also stack funnels using the power of automations. For example, they might create a Free Book Pipeline and then move subscribers to a Webinar Pipeline for follow-up.

ż’s Pipeline Blueprints include your opt-in mechanism, the web pages you’ll need in that funnel, email templates, and order pages, so there’s no guesswork on your part. Just click, edit, and publish to create your marketing funnels and sales pipelines in minutes.

Customer support

On Trustpilot, reviewers applaud Clixli for a responsive and helpful customer support. Here are :

  • “Brilliant service”
  • “I have to admit, that at first, I wasn't happy at all with my decision, but after clearing some things up with the Clixli team, I can now say I have the course website I was hoping for.”
  • “I’m still setting up my website, but I’ve been extremely pleased with the quick help that I keep receiving.”

ż also gets :

  • “Phenomenal customer service.”
  • “Customer service is out of this world, regardless of the issue they are always there to help fix it and FAST!”
  • “Excellent software, even better customer service.”

But customer support goes beyond your call service. So we wanted to compare ż’s and Clixli’s learning centers as well.

Both ż and Clixli offer “University” training through free online courses that show you how to use their different features. Both offer live chat and email as a way to connect with customer service if you have a problem.

However, ż goes a step farther. They offer a community Facebook group that’s over 27,000 members strong. There’s a Help Center with detailed step by step instructions on how to execute specific tasks in the app. And, our YouTube channel is full of videos to help you create more, do more with the ż platform, and learn from other creative entrepreneurs.

On Clixli, you can experiment with the platform and build your website. But it won’t go live until you subscribe to a premium package.

ż gives you a 14-day full-featured free trial. They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee. So there’s zero risk in trying it out.

Email marketing

When you see a significant price difference between comparable products, there’s often a catch.

At first glance, ż is the more expensive option. But it comes with all the marketing tools you need built-in. Not so with Clixli. If you want to use Clixli’s email marketing solution, you’ll pay an additional $13 to $547 each month to support your growing email list.

So let’s start by comparing the cost of each email marketing solution. And then we’ll review their email marketing software.

Doing the math:

Email marketing software can be one of the most expensive line-items in your business budget. Leading email platforms like Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign cost more than $50 a month for up to 2,500 subscribers. Note: That’s not a lot of contacts. Ideally, you’ll grow your list to 5,000 or even 10,000+ connections.

So let’s adjust the monthly cost of each platform by the cost of an email marketing software, so we can see the actual cost comparison for this feature.

We’re using the industry standard of $50 a month for email marketing with a list of 2,500 subscribers. Since ż fully replaces your email marketing software without additional fees, let’s subtract $50 from ż’s monthly fee.

$119 - $50 = $59 a month. This is the adjusted rate for a Basic plan on ż, since you won’t have to pay for a separate email marketing software.

Now, let’s adjust Clixli’s cost. It’s email marketing add-on costs $40 a month for a list of 2,500. So let’s add $40 to its monthly fee: $37 + $40 = $77 a month.

That’s your real cost if you want to do email marketing from your Clixli website. Notice that’s nearly $20 a month more than ż. And with ż, you get a lot of other additional features that will integrate with your emails and landing pages.

On Clixli, the Personal and Business plans only give you 100 email contacts. Most startups surpass that within their first month, which means you’ll need to start paying extra for email marketing right away.

The Pro account, at $397 a month, only gives you 1,000 subscribers. So here again, you’ll pay an additional fee to be able to build a list that can sustain your business.

Now let’s compare the email marketing software you get with ż vs. Clixli.

ż and Clixli both give you lots of email templates to help you stay connected to your subscribers. Both have an intuitive, drag-and-drop email builder.

Because ż’s email marketing software is integrated into its Pipeline builder, you don’t have to manually create many of your marketing email campaigns. Just select the type of campaign you want to build, and ż sets up the web pages and emails you need.

This webinar blueprint, for example, includes four emails prior to the event and five follow-up emails that help you get more conversions from your events. At the top of the pop-up, you see what the Blueprint includes.

The bottom line: ż vs. Clixli

Clixli is off to a solid start with a good product and excellent customer service. But as we’ve noted, great customer service isn’t enough to sustain a company for long-term success.

Clixli’s confusing (and sometimes misleading) pricing must be evaluated carefully. It may not be the all-in-one you’re looking for, especially if you have to pay for the features you’ll use to grow your business.

With ż, every feature you need is available to you, no matter what plan you choose.

And ż has the track-record to back up its promises. Clixli is still new, still building its track record. Their lack of reviews and About Us information demonstrates that they’re still focusing on the foundations.

For an all-in-one business platform that’s already got a strong foundation, look no further than ż. We’re focused solely on giving you the features you need to grow a profitable business.
